Cloud Engineer
BNG is the fourth largest bank in the Netherlands and is driven by social impact. Our focus is on providing financing that contributes to a more social, sustainable, and future-proof Netherlands.
What will you be doing?
As a Cloud Engineer within the Cloud team (IT4IT), you play a key role in the digital transformation of BNG Bank. You are responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our modern hybrid cloud platform based on Microsoft Azure. By using cloud-native technologies such as Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), Azure Integration Services (API Management, Service Bus) and advanced security solutions such as Azure Firewall, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, and private PKI for certificate management, you ensure a scalable, highly secure, and well-integrated IT infrastructure.
You provide self-service capabilities to DevOps teams and support them in working autonomously within the cloud platform. Using Infrastructure as Code and automated CI/CD pipelines, you contribute to an agile and efficient cloud environment that enables seamless integration between systems, protects the bank against cyber threats, and accelerates innovation.
Your workplace
You report to the Manager IT4IT and are part of the IT4IT department. The IT4IT department facilitates development teams and IT production systems, using automation as an accelerator: by applying intelligent automation, we streamline repetitive tasks, reduce process lead times, and improve the First Time Right ratio.
The IT4IT department consists of approximately 12 employees, including the Manager IT4IT and Cloud Engineers. You will mainly collaborate with your own team and the DevOps teams of BNG Bank.
