What will you be doing?
BNG Bank is looking for a Tech Lead for DevOps Client Services: a technical leader who provides direction, safeguards quality, and takes modern engineering practices to the next level.
- Determining the technical direction and architecture
- Designing scalable and secure integrations with market systems
- Taking the lead in CI/CD, cloud (Azure), automation, and monitoring
- Solving complex technical issues
- Coaching developers on code and engineering standards
- Translating business goals into technical solutions and roadmaps
- Contributing to reference architecture and technology choices
- Presenting technical proposals to the business and management
Your workplace
You report to the Manager DevOps Client Services. The DevOps Client Services department consists of approximately 17 employees, including Front-End Developers, Information Analysts, SaaS Engineers, Back-End Developer Engineers, and a UX Designer. You mainly work within the DevOps team together with other developers, an Information Analyst, a UX designer, and the Product Owner.
What we ask of you
- HBO/WO level of working and thinking (for example, Computer Science)
- At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Developer, Lead Engineer, or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of modern software architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms and .NET
- Knowledge of and experience with front-end development
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
- Coaching skills and a proactive, guiding attitude
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
- Experience with agile working
- An eye for quality, security, scalability, and risk management
- In-depth knowledge of IT, data, digitalization, and process management, enabling you to collaborate effectively in an organization that is digitally and process-oriented, and where customers increasingly do business digitally with BNG
- Basic knowledge of how a bank operates. This enables you to understand processes, products, and regulations within a financial institution, so that you can contribute effectively in an environment where social responsibility and financial services come together.
